The Stitch Lounge is a quarterly open lab incorporating sewing machines and studio space for people to come together, share knowledge and make things.

As part of our February pop up event it's our pleasure to collaborate with Materialise on two levels of workshop. The beginners workshop will offer participants the chance to work from a simple downloaded pattern, using materials provided and create a finished piece ready for showcasing on Sunday. No experience is necessary.

The intermediate workshop will give participants with some basic sewing skills the chance to learn to read a designer pattern, cut and pin pieces on fabric provided and create a more couture piece that will grace the runway.

However, for those ladies and gentlemen of the trade, whom need no assistance, we offer open sewing sessions both Saturday and Sunday (10 - 6pm) where by you bring your ideas and we provide the rest. Your challenge is to create a completely new piece for our Stitch Lounge collection that will be the highlight of our Catwalk and Cocktails party on Sunday! Kicking off the catwalk will be a one of a kind collaboration piece from our very own fashion designer, Jacob Birge and artist, Kristina Johansen.

And finally we're proud to offer a delicious lunch by this season's Stitch Kitchen - Union of Genius.

It will indeed be another sold out affair with a number of exciting names in fashion and design collaborating, participating and attending throughout the weekend. So please invite all your friends to pop along and check us out and to join us for celebrating the entire Stitch Lounge collection at Sunday's Catwalk and Cocktails 6.30pm.
